Here is a little more information for those who want to get more about the world Sunadokei is set in. If you have any questions or need to know more for your character, send me a message and I'll add it.

A bit more on Demons

Basically, a demon is a spirit in a human-looking body. It's a bit of a folktale that these spirits lived among humans but went home to their own 'plane of existence' or however they decided to describe it. Those spirits could be humanoid or animal-like. The legend says that when they left, the legacy they left behind (children, hybrids, that sort of thing) evolved into what is in the world now as demons. They're not seen as the evil demons, just different entities that live alongside humans.

Therefore, their magic is a link to their ancestors, so to speak. You don't need to summon a specific spirit each time, but having a connection to one that will do the job you look for is usually what makes it powerful.

The animal representation is just like a sub-race of demons, usually having something to do with what kind of skills they're most comfortable with. Like bird demons like stuff with air and jumping, something like a cheetah would like speed, etc.

The Technology
They've got trains, fliers, mass-transportation vehicles, etc, but most weapons are swords or something alone those lines. Guns aren't quite as modern, what with magic and spells that are much easier and replace them. Even if people travel to worlds where these weapons are commonplace, they are expected to be able to handle it on their own but rarely bring said weapons back.

The Terrain
Botta is basically a giant and grungy city sitting on the edge of a desert and an ocean. It's the only place of worth in most of the world, so hardly anyone else comes from beyond the desert or beyond the ocean. The only place that isn't run down and covered with metal/rusty junk is the second "level", where the rich people have their homes and shops and hate to see the lower city riffraff.

The Religion
As would be expected of a place that travels through time and space and whatnot, religion isn't a very big part of the culture in Sunadokei and Botta. But it is present, in the form of a cultish group that used to be active before Sunadokei was founded. Members have dwindled, but it's still around.
The religion focuses around three main deities; 'time', 'life', and 'death' (Actual names and more creative descriptions pending, of course). Time is a gear-themed spirit who wanders the world, seemingly having no regard for anyone he/she comes across (might help you sometimes, might hurt you sometimes, that sort of thing). He/she is often depicted as being lead--since his/her head is covered by a gear-themed mask--by two children, one holding onto each of his/her hands. At the right, a pure black child, the darkness only broken by two bright white eyes, signifying life. At the left, an empty white child, with two dull black eyes that seem to absorb all light, signifying death. (More info is available upon request, and it'll be edited and such...)

How to join Sunadokei/Mikanno
The actual requirements for joining aren't something you can post in a thread. What happens is a captain or officer will come up with a way to test you in a team of your peers, if there are some available. You have to prove that you can think on your feet and work to accomplish a mission with a possible team.
The easiest way to take this test for Sunadokei is to walk up to the headquarters and apply. For Mikanno, well, it's a tiny bit harder. You have to searching through the lower levels of Botta and if you can find anything building like, most likely you've found their headquarters. A slightly less dangerous way is to find one of the Mikanno faithful spies tucked away throughout Sunadokei officers, but ask the wrong person and you'll be kicked out.
